Nibiru — Populated by a Super Race?

A popular theory holds that a hidden planet called Nibiru, home to an advanced alien race called the Anunnaki, visited earth in the ancient past — genetically engineering humanity as a slave labor force to mine gold.

While the theory correctly identifies that Sumerian civilization appeared suddenly and fully developed, its explanation for why is built on questionable translation and interpretation of ancient texts, not verified scholarship.
