Toppling Evolution One Fallacy at a Time

I cannot find one fossil of any creature that shows a half-and-half evolution into another creature. But I am sure there are some, there has to be doesn't there?

Well perhaps not, actually there's none and never has there been. There have been many frauds but never a real example and there never will be. As a French scientist once said evolution is a fairy tale for grown-ups.

One disappointed authority actually confessed: "A century of digging since Darwin's time has only made their absence more glaring... Paleontologists have devoted whole careers to looking for examples of gradual transitions over time, and with a few exceptions THEY HAVE FAILED." (Newsweek, March 29, 1982, p.42)

Just as depressing was a statement by Dr David Kitts, Zoologist and Head Curator of the Department of Geology, at Stoval Museum. Kitts was a well-known evolutionary paleontologist. He confessed: Despite the bright promise that paleontology provides a means of "seeing" evolution, it has presented some nasty difficulties for evolutionists, the most notorious of which is the presence of "gaps" in the fossil record. Evolution requires intermediate forms between species and paleontology does not provide them... (David B. Kitts, Ph.D, Evolution, vol.28, September 1974, p.467)

Paleo-ecologist and Geologist, Dr Ronald West, Assistant Professor of Paleobiology at Kansas State University, said Contrary to what most scientists write, the fossil record does not support the Darwinian theory of evolution because it is this theory (there are several) which we use to interpret the fossil record. By doing so, we are guilty of circular reasoning if we then say the fossil record supports this theory. (Ronald R. West, Ph.D, "Paleontology and uniformitarianism." Compass, vol. 45, May 1968, p.216) And there was Dr Colin Patterson, Senior Paleontologist at the British Museum of Natural History in London. There are "no transitional fossils," he admitted. "I will lay it on the line -- there is not one such fossil for which one could make a watertight argument." (Personal letter, written 10 April 1979, from Dr. Colin Patterson to Luther D. The sad fact for evolutionary theory is that after 146 years since Darwin the evidence IS in. But it is not what the evolutio!" n theory predicted." The handwriting had been on the wall for a while. Even 50 years ago, Dr. Norman D. Newell of Columbia University had been lamenting: Experience shows that gaps which separate the highest categories may never be bridged in the fossil record. Many of the discontinuities tend to be more and more emphasised with increased collecting. (Norman D. The chain of evolution needs links but almost no one was telling the public they don't exist. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link and there are no links. All we have is a crafty con.

Niles Eldridge, curator of New York's Natural History Museum made this comment "The fossil record we were told to find in the past 120 years \[since Darwin\] does not exist." (New York Times, November 4, 1980). That was 25 years ago and nothing has changed. If the fossils do not give evidence of evolution, there remains no evidence that life has evolved, at all. There had to be a solution created for this embarrassing lack of evolution evidence from the fossils. But what was it? "punctuated equilibrium".

This theory suggests that perhaps the major evolutionary changes occurred quite rapidly, while the population levels were low. So, the gaps might be due to such periods of 'explosive evolution', which occurred so rapidly they left no trace in the fossils. In other words, extremely fast evolution occurred in small isolated communities. So, it was NOT recorded in the fossil strata.

In that case, evidence should not even be expected. And that's because no one can find a shred of physical evidence for it. Frankly, it's an argument from silence. You just must trust it by faith. And no experiments have been able to show any means by which evolutionary jumps can occur. And to be frank a theory which predicts it will have no evidence hardly qualifies as a scientific theory. Punctuated equilibrium doesn't even have a mechanism. I found the promoters themselves admitting that. We are asked to believe that evolution occurs so slowly today that we cannot detect it, and so rapidly in the past that we cannot detect it!"

A report in Science News, 28 June 1986, mentioned how the AIDS virus was shown to mutate up to a million times faster than the DNA for other organisms, surely this could be an example of punctuated equilibrium theory. In one year the virus went through the equivalent of 1 million years of mutation at the usual rate. But even with the mutation process speeded up a million times, the AIDS virus only 'evolved' into another form of AIDS virus and nothing else. This observed evidence actually refuted the idea of punctuated equilibrium.

Mutations do not add more DNA and do not create another creature, spiders that have been observed to mutate and have experienced a "selection" process, or "adaptation" into the forms we have today, remain spiders. And the same applies with everything else.
